DSpace Foundation
The DSpace Foundation brings together a diverse group of over 500 organizations from 60 different countries. The role of the Foundation is to lead the collaborative development of open source software for the global community-enabling innovation and services for access,provision, stewardship, and re-use of digital materials. DSpace Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation established in Massachusetts, USA.

Michele KimptonMichele Kimpton, formerly of the Internet Archive,  serves as Executive Director of the DSpace Foundation. Prior to joining DSpace, Kimpton led web-archiving technology and services at the Internet Archive. As one of the Archive’s founding directors, she initiated and managed several open-source software projects to collect, access and preserve web pages from national libraries and archives. Brad McLeanBrad McLean is DSpace Foundation's Technology Director. Brad has been a longtime open source contributor, starting with Linux 1.x kernel drivers. Most recently, he was the Chief Systems Architect for Constant Contact, Inc . At Constant Contact he oversaw an open source platform migration and created a shared based scaling architecture for Constant Contact’s growing ASP model marketing service. Prior to Constant Contact, he served as CTO of StudentUniverse.com, where he built the team, air search engine, and high volume website. In past digital information related work, he was a major contributor to both the KnowledgeCite and WebSPIRS products of SilverPlatter Information Inc (now Ovid Technologies), and was an active participant in the development of Z39.50-1992 and 1995,including the implementations for SilverPlatter and Gaylord Information Systems (now Polaris Library Systems). Valorie HollisterValorie Hollister, serves as the Community Outreach Manager for DSpace Foundation. Prior to joining DSpace, Valorie led a non-profit community organization focused networking and information sharing. She is experienced in researching, analyzing and communicating all types of information, as well as assessing community needs and developing and implementing solutions. Lauren L'EsperanceLauren L'Esperance serves as DSpace's Webmaster. Prior to joining DSpace Lauren has held marketing and product development positions in a variety of industries - Lernout & Hauspie (speech recogntion), Bose and Whistler (consumer electronics), Eprise (content management), PODS (moving services), and Sanders (defense). She holds four design patents.
