“Mention-It” App Takes Developer Challenge Prize at OR09

DSpace Committer, Tim Donohue, wins the Developer Challenge.

DSpace Committer and BibApp developer Tim Donohue won the $2,000. Open Repositories 2009 Developer Challenge prize with his entry “Mention-It” which is a simple javascript library that collects “mentions” of content held within an institutional repository (or personal blog) from anywhere on the Web. The “Mention-It” code is available on Google Code.

The second place winner, Rebecca Koesar, Emory University Library, was also awarded a $2,000 prize. Her prototype “Fedora FS” exposes Fedora as a desktop filestore using Fuse.
