1.6.2 Acknowledgments

Thanks to our early adopters of 1.6.1, who helped us to discover those few key issues we overlooked in that release.  Special thanks to the small team of developers (Kim Shepherd, Keith Gilbertson, Stuart Lewis, Tim Donohue) who pulled together fixes quickly and helped with the rapid turnaround between 1.6.1 and 1.6.2.  As always, thanks to Jeffrey Trimble in helping us quickly fix some key areas of the Documentation as well.

1.6.1 Acknowledgments

We’d like to extend gratitude to all the developers who worked hard to fix issues discovered in 1.6.0 and earlier versions of DSpace. Big thanks also go out to those who reported bugs, helped test patches and gave their feedback to developers.  Also, thanks to Jeffrey Trimble for his continued work as the DSpace "documentation gardener", ensuring that all our documentation is updated and accurate. Last but not least, we’d like to thank Kim Shepherd for coordinating the 1.6.1 release and ensuring it was delivered on time.

1.6.0 Acknowledgments

The DSpace application would not exist without the hard work and support of the community. We would like to say a big "THANK YOU" to Stuart Lewis the Release Manager from the University of Auckland Library. Stuart truly innovated the DSpace software release process for 1.6. From soliciting community input through the survey, to finding teams to work on new major feature development, to writing code himself, Stuart was committed to making sure the release included improvements the community most desired. We'd like to extend our gratitude to the developers who have worked very hard to deliver all the new features and improvements. Also thanks to the users who provided input and feedback on the development, as well those who participated in the "Big Bug Hunt" testing. Many thanks to Jeffery Trimble from Youngstown State University for the major renovations on the 1.6 documentation. For more details on the release contributors, click here.
