Armand Doucette

Armand is the Associate Director of IT & Digital Development at MIT Libraries where he is responsible for technology strategy and planning, and oversight of technology operations and development in support of the Libraries’ expanding digital initiatives.  He was formerly the Executive Director of MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Lieven Droogmans

Lieven is General Manager and founder of @mire, and a former researcher who worked on digital institutional repositories at the University of Leuven. As a computer science engineer his expertise in digital preservation research and projects at the research coordination office of University of Leuven has helped to make @mire a leader in providing DSpace training and customizations for DSpace users worldwide. 

Richard Jizba

Richard is Head of Information Services for Creighton University Health Sciences Library where he established the DSpace Creighton Digital Repository (CDR) as an open source solution for capturing, managing, promoting, sharing, and preserving digital collections in any format in 2009. 

David Lewis

David is Dean of the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) University Library and IU Assistant Vice President for Digital Scholarly Communication. He has written articles and book chapters on topics ranging from reference services to the management of libraries to scholarly communication. His professional activities include a leadership role in the development of the Marion County Internet Library and in the creation of the Academic Libraries of Indiana. He was formerly the head of the Research and Information Services Department at the University of Connecticut (1988-93).

Stuart Lewis

Stuart is Head of Research and Learning Services, and Deputy Director of Library & University Collections at the University of Edinburgh. His responsibilities include Scholarly Communications, Research and Learning Services, Software Development, and Projects & Innovations. He is a long-time DSpace contributor who has helped to develop, lead, and shape the future direction of the application, and is currently a Committer Emeritus. Formerly he was the Digital Development Manager at The University of Auckland.

João Mendes Moreira

João is the Head of Scientific Information at FCT|FCCN (National Funding Agency). In addition to running the national consortium b-on (Online Library of Knowledge) and the PTCRIS program (Portuguese Current Research Information System Management), João is also in charge of the national open access initiative RCAAP (Portuguese Open Access Scientific Repository). RCAAP includes a network of more than 40 Institutional Repositories based on DSpace software.

Michele Mennielli
Michele is International Business Development Manager for Cineca, the Italian Consortium of University that offers HPC services and Information Systems to both the Italian Ministry of Higher Education and the Higher Education Institutions. Michele is also an Executive Board Member of euroCRIS (the European Organisation for International Research), managing the External Relations of the Organisation; and he is a Board Member of EUNIS (European University Information System Organisation), responsible for communication and marketing activities. 
Ingrid Parent

Ingrid is the University Librarian at the University of British Columbia (UBC). UBC's digitization initiatives with First Nations provides a way to make their written and oral information accessible as a way to preserve their history and culture. She is the past president of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). She was Director General of Acquisitions and Bibliographic Services at the former National Library of Canada, then became Assistant Deputy Minister for Documentary Heritage, Library and Archives Canada, responsible for the development, description and preservation of Canada's documentary heritage.

Kristi Park
Exective Director

Kristi serves as the Executive Director of the Texas Digital Library, a consortium of 20 academic libraries that works to increase access to the riches found at Texas institutions of higher learning. With the TDL since 2009, she oversees new member recruitment and revenue-generating initiatives and develops training and outreach programs for TDL’s hosted DSpace and Duracloud services.
